You can get away with $100 only if they eat from the special dinner menu (think like the 2 for $20 at applebee's), but go over as they may want wine as well.Ruth's Chris Steakhouse?
I'd give them at least $100 as everything on their menu is ordered "a la carte" which means when you order a steak, that's all they bring you, salads and any veggies are separate and bottles of wine or cocktails add up quickly so they could easily rack up well over the $100. If you really want to be sure the entire meal is picked up you and your bro, give your parents your bank card or credit card to pay for anything over the amount of the gift. Obviously, if you buy a gift card for $200 and they only spend $170, what will they do with the extra $30?
