I'd like to start off as a server but maybe do some bartending eventually too. Has anyone worked at these places and/or heard good or bad things about working there? Any input welcome!Which of these restaurants would you work at?
You will make more money at Ruths Chris. However; do not expect a laid back environment. You must be VERY well versed and will probably receive training in fine dining as well as wine. You will deal with less tables, but your tips will be exponentially bigger because of the average ticket at a place like that vs. a typical chain restaurant like Chilis or Outback. You are looking at a 40 dollar ticket at Chilis versus over 100 at Ruths Chris.
Without knowing the area, it is hard to say which restaurant will be the best fit. The same restaurant in different locations could do polar opposite business.
What are your interests? If you like to hang out and enjoy sports, go with BWW. I would go out to a few of these that you are considering and talk to the staff as well as see if it is an atmosphere where you would feel comfortable.Which of these restaurants would you work at?
Olive Garden or Outback Steakhouse.Which of these restaurants would you work at?
Ruby Tuesdays or Chili's.
